- The company is looking for an experienced and skilled professional for the position of Sr. Accounts Officer at its Head Office in Sylhet.
Job Responsibilities
- The incumbent shall be responsible for preparing and compiling monthly, quarterly and yearly accounts and present consolidated financial reports of the Group and its projects.
- Prepare & maintain cash and bank transactions, receipt and payment statements, cash and fund flow statements. Ensure proper and timely record keeping of books of accounts.
- Assist Chief Accounts Officer in dealing with tax matters of the Group including its projects.
- Assist in monitoring Tax & VAT related matters and maintain liaison with Tax & VAT authorities for settlement of related issues and also ensure compliance with laws.
- Prepare & compile necessary documents for filing of the company's Tax return, VAT returns, withholding tax return & other necessary tax returns, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
- Maintain external relationships with Govt. & Other Regulatory Bodies including RJSC, BOI, NBR, TAX & VAT Authority, Bank & Other Financial Institutes, External & Internal Auditors
- Keep liaison with banks and financial institutions regarding banking matters of the company.
- Dealing with Employees provident fund (PF) of Head Office and all projects under the Group.
- Working as part of a team at all functions of Head Office Accounts section, including maintaining and reconciling bank accounts, proper and up-to-date documentation of internal accounts.
- Dealing with personal Tax matters of Directors.
- Perform the duties & responsibilities to a high professional and ethical standard and perform any other tasks assigned by the management
